Fujio Akatsuka Wiki

Tsumannaiko-chan (つまんない子ちゃん, lit. "Bored Little Girl" ) is a shojo and gag work by Fujio Akatsuka and Fujio Pro, serialized in Princess magazine.

Overview[]

Tsumannaiko-chan is a little girl who gets bored easily, complaining "I'm bored!" ("Tsumanai~!"), thus it is up to her to find interesting situations to get up to along with her pet crocodile Bu-Wani.

As with characters likeJajako-chan, if Tsumannaiko finds herself wronged or things not to be fun enough, she'll do what she can to fool others. The set-up of the series could also be comparable to Hippie-chan in featuring a young girl and her pet as stars, however, as things develop it is more accurate to consider Tsumannaiko and Bu-Wani to be on equal footing as protagonists.

Characters[]

There is some minor presence of the Star System, such as the Police Officer with the Connected Eyes showing up, Nyarome and Beshi being depicted as characters in a film, and multiple characters present in a crowd scene.

Tsumannaiko-chan[]

Starting out her adventures with a complaint of "I'm bored!", she is actually quite playful and mischievous. She is charmed by the sight of cute boys, but repulsed by more hideous little boys that pursue her as she would to the cute ones.

Together with Bu-Wani, the two can make an unstoppable duo against any folks they'd wish to prank. As the series goes on, she gains a hair ribbon in her design.

Bu-Wani[]

Tsumannaiko's small pet crocodile, known for his grunts of "Bu Bu!", though he is also capable of more coherent speech. One of his eyes is shaped like a triangle, while the other is shaped like a star, though later art depicts them more normalized and round.

He can easily suck up objects into his large mouth (or outright eat them) when commanded to by his owner, but will also spit them out if commanded. His nostrils are also a very powerful tool to use for some tricks.

In the final chapter of the series, he is taken advantage of by a young boy and his family members, who all want pieces of his skin or body parts for their various needs. He is left wandering on crutches and peg-legs, mutilated while the family that received his gifts rejoice.

Mother[]

Tsumannaiko's mother, who can get frustrated at her daughter's ways.
