You're a Shinobi, Sasuke-kun (しのびの者だよ サースケくん) was a double-shot manga by Fujio Akatsuka that ran in the August and September 1963 issues of Bokura.
Overview[]
After being punished and thrown outside by his mother for trying to steal watermelon, the young boy Sasuke thinks "Oh, I wish I was a ninja!". He quickly encounters a trickster old man who offers to teach him ninjutsu. From here on, Sasuke gets into chaotic antics with his abilities and attitude.
Characters[]
Sasuke[]
A naughty boy somewhat resembling The Sextuplets from Osomatsu-kun, yet bearing a few differences in his design as well. These include freckles and a sharp nose like Jinta of the series Circus Jinta, and a curled ahoge like the first design of Kankichi.
He cannot stand to be overpowered or fooled, but as he is still only a child, he may wind up vulnerable to trouble that he tries to outrun.
Mother[]
Seen in the first chapter. She appears to be sleeping, but instantly bolts up to intercept Sasuke's attempt to take fruit from the refrigerator. She is rather strong, as evidenced by her managing to fling her son outside to the point he hits a high tree.
"The Ninja Man"[]
A jester hat-haired man that Sasuke discovers having disguised himself as a rock. He is Sasuke's trickster mentor and nemesis for the first chapter, and will be re-used inSongo-kun and further comics, mostly known under the name of Dr. Weird.
Serialization[]
- (August 1963)- Unreprinted. Sasuke learns the tricks of the shinobi.
- (September 1963)- Sasuke faces off against a pair of shady movie theater owners.
